MOTD: Soft Smokey Eyes using TF Silvered Topaz

Hey guys! How's your weekend so far? :) On the process of making a review for my Tom Ford Silvered Topaz Eye Color Quad, I decided to create a look. Hope you like it! <3

Tom Ford Silvered Topaz
The colors on this quad are on the darker side so I decided to create a wearable look with it. Forgive my brows, btw. I've been trying to play on my routine so it's not how I want it to be, yet.

Since the focus is on the eyes, and I wanted it to be wearable too during the day, I kept the face looking fresh with a peachy pink blush and a nude pink sheer lipstick.

I placed false lashes at the outer corner of the eyes.

Here's the rest of the products I used:

Face: YSL Le Teint Touche Eclat Liquid Foundation
Blush: NARS Orgasm
Bobbi Brown Corrector in Light Peach (not shown on the photo)
Bobbi Brown Creamy Concealer in Warm Beige (not shown on the photo)
Highlighter: Smashbox Soft Lights Palette
Mascara: Lancome Hypnose Doll (upper lashes) and
Estee Lauder Double Wear Mascara (bottom lashes)
Lips: MAC Sublime Culture Cremestick liner (base) and
YSL Rouge Volupte Shine #8

What do you think of my look?

P.S. I love my new lighting set-up! I don't look like an oompa loompa anymore. Hehe.

MOTD: October 19, 2013 Wedding Makeup

Weddings are one of the most beautiful events there is. Moments wonderfully captured in photos and seeing all the details that goes into the decor makes me want to dream of my own too. Ehem. Disclaimer: Mine's not happening any time soon. :D I follow this really popular blog, www.brideandbreakfast.ph and omg! The photos just makes me swoon. <3

I went to a wedding last Saturday and I decided to do my own makeup. My hair was done by Danni of Philosophy Salon.

Since my dress was neutral and simple, I decided to don a fall inspired makeup look: Warm eye shadows and a wine-ish lipstick, which didn't show up on camera. It's always humid on events like this so I went easy with the face. I did not want to pile lots of makeup because that would be really uncomfortable.

Foundation: Shu Uemura Face Architect Sheer Refining Mousse Foundation
Lipstick: Guerlain Rouge G in #70 Gigolo
On the Eyes: Lorac Pro Palette

Dress: Designed by John of The Limited

How do you like my look? :)

MOTD: Hair Bun Makeup

Hair Bun Makeup
The only hairstyle I can do on myself is a wavy hair. Now that I have the donut bun maker, guess I now know 2 hairstyles. Woot! I'll give myself a pat on the shoulder for that :b

Lips: MAC Viva Glam Nicki
Eyes: Urban Decay Naked 2 Palette
Cheeks: MAC Powder Blush in Melba

Hair Bun Makeup
I used to be so uncomfortable with having my hair pulled back. I don't like the feeling of having a super exposed face, specially a fully exposed ear. I feel like the person beside me might take a peek into it. Is that weird? Mind you I do have my ears cleaned regularly.

With such an exposed face, I feel the best makeup for this would be a contoured cheek bone and a bold lip. I was going for a day look since this hairstyle is popularly sported for those lazy days.

Hair Bun Makeup
Because I went with a bold lip, I decided to play down the eyes. I put on falsies because I love how it emphasizes the shape of the eyes, and it looks so much better on photographs :) It is optional, of course. A nude eyeliner on the lower rim helps open up the eyes, adding balance to the top lashes.

How would you wear your makeup with a high bun hairstyle? Hope you like the look :)

Glamorous Emerald Eyes

"I advocate glamour. Every day. Every minute." -Dita Von Teese

People have different ways of coping with stress. Mine is sitting in front of my vanity and letting my imagination and the colors of my palette take me away. And then after taking countless selfies, I take it off and go to sleep. lol.

I would probably wear this look when I'm going to formal events. Or if I'm feeling quite daring, I'd wear this during the day with a super casual outfit to spark a bit of interest on my whole look. The jewel toned eye shadow on the lid makes it bold, and the neutral color on the crease tones it down a bit and gives it a subtle smokey look whilst making it more wearable.
