Tutorial: Fake Your Way to Fuller Looking Lashes in 3 Steps!

Share it Please

Yep. Those are Asian lashes right there. Sparse, thin, and pointed downwards. Those with naturally full lashes are so lucky! But hey don't fret, we have makeup to "cheat" our way to fuller looking lashes.. without falsies!

Step 1: Curl your lashes. We know this step all too well! Start from the very base of your lashes and hold it in place for about 6 seconds. Remember to hold it away (as if pulling) from your lids to lift the lashes up. Proceed to the middle part of your lashes, then the tips. I'm using the cult favorite Shu Uemura Lash Curler.

Look at how stubborn my lashes are! That's about how good as it gets without any mascara on.

Step 2: Bring out your favorite mascara and coat those lashes. Be sure to concentrate much of the product on the base of the lashes to give it a good lift. Do a zigzag motion with your wand and be sure to get every little lash as you possibly can. I'm currently using Lancome x Alber Elbaz Hypnose Star Waterproof Mascara.

Don't forget to put mascara on the bottom lashes. They need some lovin' too!

Quick tip: Lift those bottom lashes by placing a thin makeup brush under it. Hold it in place for a few seconds.

Step 3: The magic trick! Take your push liner brush and a brown or black eye shadow/liner and "push" the product between your lashes. Make sure not to leave sparse areas, we want it to look natural as much as possible. With the same product, tight line your eyes.

Do you see what difference it makes? :)

Thea
